About
This 40-hour course is designed as an introduction to interpreting in the courtrooms in the U.S. The class will prepare participants to take the State written certification exam and provide them with knowledge, feedback and tools to prepare for the oral exam. Students will have plenty of opportunities to practice the three modes of interpreting. Final exam includes a knowledge base exam as well as feedback from the instructor on their interpreting skills.
The class is not language-specific. It is taught entirely in English and all languages are welcome.
This course is geared for interpreters who will be taking the court interpreter certification/licensing exam and it satisfies the JBCC training prerequisite.

Cancellation Policy
- Minimum of 5 students needed to schedule course.
- If minimum number of students is not met by January 5, the course will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.
- Full refund will be issued to students who cancel on or before January 5, 2025.
- 50% refund for students who cancel on or before January 20, 2025
- No refunds will be issued after January 21, 2025 but student can enroll in a later course
